Tornado warning cancelled

The National Weather Service has cancelled the tornado warning for extreme southeastern Colleton County as well as the Edisto Beach area that had been issued earlier today.

The tornado warning was first issued about 3:35 p.m. after two waterspouts were spotted off Edisto Beach. One spout was about 100 yards offshore and the other about 500 yards, both moving toward the beach, according to the Weather Service.

Those were the only waterspouts spotted so far today, according to the weather service.
